The Church of Joy is honored to partner with Bethel Mission Outreach every year for its Shoe Boxes for Haiti Project. These "shoe boxes" are distributed on Christmas morning to local children and their families and orphanages in southern Haiti.
Bethel Mission Outreach's goal for this year is 1200 boxes across all of their ministry partners. Let's help them meet that goal!
TO GET INVOLVED:
- Please sign up at our welcome desk, and include how many boxes per age group.
- Download this list of suggested items and packing instructions.
- If you're unable to pack a box but would like to give, a donation of $25 will cover a full box and shipping. Any donated amount can help supplement other boxes.
The age groups for boys and girls boxes are 2-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13 & 14-18
To help insure that these gifts arrive on time for Christmas, we are asking that each shoe box (preferably plastic) be wrapped in Christmas paper (bottom and lid separately) or lined with tissue paper (for the plastic boxes) and returned by October 1st, 2017 with gender and age group taped on the outside. Please do not seal the box. You may wrap a rubber band around to keep it closed. A donation of $5.00 per box to help cover shipping cost is greatly appreciated!
