This is the only time of the year that the word 'butt' is totally appropriate for church.
Your Refuge Youth Ministry students are going to summer camp and they need your help!
Our Smoked BBQ Pre-sale begins on April 23rd. Use the sign up sheet in the foyer to reserve your smoked boston butt. This makes a meal for you and your family on a Sunday Afternoon... then Sunday night... then Monday night... then Tuesday night. It’s a lot of pork!
Butts are $55/ea and pickup will be on Saturday May 24th here at JOY. Thank you for your support!
The deadline to reserve your bbq is Sunday May 18th.
Contact Josh Carpenter with any questions.

Just make a donation to their camp fund and everyone wins!
Hey 6th-12th grade students, we’re going to Winter Jam! This is one of the best concerts of the year. For how much? 60? 80? No! Try $15! Go clean your mom’s car and make your ticket money.
We will be leaving Joy on Saturday February 8th at 2pm. EAT LUNCH BEFORE YOU COME!
It’s at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta so we have a bit of a drive. We need to get in line for decent seats.
You will need extra $$ for food at the venue. We will not be able to bring dinner in.
The show starts at 6pm and has gone as long as 10pm in the past.
We may not arrive back home until 12am. It’s a long day but so worth it! Sign up in the youth room.

Judgment Journey is an experience you will never forget!
Since 1997, Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange creates a walk through experience of End Times events as recorded in the book of Revelation. These events are creatively interpreted (similar to the "Left Behind" books and movies), and presented in a 45 minute multi-sensory presentation.
Judgment Journey was never intended to be a "scary" event. But there is disturbing content as the experience is built upon the idea of a raptured church and a time of tribulation and great trouble upon the earth. Please consider this when making the decision to send your child.
Our 6th-12th Grade Youth will be traveling to Lagrange on the evening of October 25th. We will arrive 30mins prior to our "walk-time".
For more information visit: www.judgmentjourney.com
We will be hanging out late for anyone who can, playing some games, eating some junk food…
Have you been told you spend too much time gaming? It’s probably true, but on October 5th we’re going to celebrate your bad habit.
Refuge will be hosting an FPS gaming tournament at Josh’s house on Saturday October 5th at 6pm.
(if you don’t know what “FPS” means, this probably isn’t the event for you)
There will be a $5 buy in on the Tournament (entry not required to come to event). Winner takes all.
Don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of pizza and Mountain Dew. A gamer needs their fuel.
Wear some clothes you don’t mind getting colorful and messy because the color war has no respect for your wardrobe.
We’ll have color powder, color water, color slip n’ slide - Its going to be a wild mess.
Let’s play games like: Slip n’ Slide races, Color Sponge Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Relay Races and of course the all out Color War. Don’t miss out!
* All color used is listed as washable but we make no guarantees about clothing.
Do you know what's better than playing Ultimate Frisbee? Playing Ultimate Frisbee in the dark!
Join us for a night full of glow sticks and Ultimate Frisbee! This event runs until 10pm so make sure your parents are aware.
Wear closed toe shoes and some old clothes that you don't mind getting grass stains on.
Note this cancellation: We will not be having Sunday Night youth for labor day weekend
There’s nothing like a summer night spent in the pool with your Refuge Youth fam! Meet us for a pool party on August 25th.
We’ll grill some food, play some games and belly flop our way to misery.
Make sure to bring a towel. Swim shirts and shorts are required for everyone.
