Face OT: Trauma Informed Training

  • The Church of Joy 3080 Georgia 362 Williamson, GA, 30292 United States (map)

Foster children face trauma surrounding the events of entering and living in state care. These traumas carry on into adulthood and create negative life outcomes.

You’ve likely had interactions with foster children or others carrying trauma. FACE OT will help you become better informed and will equip you to support more positive life outcomes.

Classes happen Mondays and Thursdays, 7-8pm, through July at Joy. Two opportunities to learn the weekly content.

June (2 weeks off) 2,5,23,26,30

July 3,7,10,14,17

A note from Josh Carpenter at Joy: Are these classes for you even if you’re not considering becoming a foster parent? Yes!

As believers, we are God’s partners in his great rescue plan of bringing His peace and kingdom to a world in chaos; we do this through our interactions with people.

If we can better understand WHY a person is living in chaos, we can better interact with them, sharing the gospel becomes more effective, and we become a peace bringer in their lives.

Come be a part of FACE OT!
